Job Description

Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans and territory forecasts based on market trends and internal targets
  • Allocate targets to sub-territories/store channels in consultation with sales leadership

Execution & Coverage

  • Manage and expand distribution networks—identify, onboard, and evaluate distributors/stockists
  • Conduct frequent field visits to existing and potential customers to drive secondary/primary sales and ensure product visibility

Team Leadership & Training

  • Train, mentor, and monitor performance of sales staff, merchandisers, and promoters.
  • Identify training needs from performance data and coach accordingly .

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture relationships with key accounts, distributors, and retail partners
  • Address customer queries/complaints promptly, ensuring high levels of satisfaction

Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis

  • Track competitor activities and pricing in territory and recommend counter strategies
  • Conduct market surveys, analyze consumer preferences, and adjust tactics based on findings .

Reporting & Administration

  • Provide timely sales performance reports, MIS, and pipeline updates to management
  • Monitor stock levels, manage logistics and distributor claims, and ensure ROI compliance

Promotions & Launches

  • Execute promotional campaigns, in-store campaigns, sampling drives, trade schemes, and product launches
  • Collaborate with trade marketing and key account teams for brand activation
