We are seeking an experienced SQL Server & PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team on a C2C basis. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in managing, tuning, and optimizing both SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases. This role requires hands-on experience in both cloud and on-premises environments, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with development teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and manage SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases across development, testing, and production environments.

Perform database performance tuning, optimization, and provisioning.

Optimize the performance of stored procedures and SQL queries.

Write and manage complex SQL queries, triggers, functions, and stored procedures.

Work on both stand-alone/on-premise and cloud environments including Azure SQL and Cloud SQL.

Collaborate with application developers to improve database designs, queries, and overall database performance.

Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand and resolve performance-related challenges.

Ensure high availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies are implemented and tested.

Required Skills:

7+ years of hands-on experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL.

Strong performance tuning and optimization skills.

Proven experience in working with Azure SQL, Cloud SQL, and on-premises databases.

Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.

Experience in working closely with application developers to enhance performance.

Experience in dealing with clients and stakeholders in a professional environment.
