Role & responsibilities

• Perform manual testing on accounting and finance-related software applications.
• At least 1.5+ years of experience in manual software testing, preferably in accounting or financial systems.
• Develop, maintain, and execute test cases based on business requirements and user stories.
• Validate features like general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, payroll, financial reporting, and tax calculations.
• Log and track defects using test management or issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product managers to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
• Perform regression testing and participate in system integration and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Validate data integrity between UI and database or reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) where applicable.
• Assist in creating test documentation and reports for internal and client use.
