Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in our Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and leading a team of junior accountants. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial data is complete and accurate.
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely processing of invoices and collections.
- Manage general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and proper coding of all transactions.
- Lead the budgeting process, working with department heads to prepare annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance, analyzing variances and providing insights for corrective actions.
- Mentor and train junior accountants, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting best practices in accounting processes.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including profitability analysis and cost management.
- Prepare reports on financial performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation for easy access and reference.
Qualifications:
- B.com, M.com, Inter CA or CA in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on financial reporting and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
