Job Summary
A Robotics Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining robotic systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and safety across industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, and research. This role combines mechanical, electrical, and software engineering disciplines to build innovative and reliable robotics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, design, prototype, and develop robotic systems or components using CAD, simulation tools, and robotics platforms.
- Write software to control robotics solutions, including embedded systems and sensor integration.
- Build, debug, test, calibrate, and maintain robots to ensure performance, precision, and safety.
- Interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams to support design and troubleshooting.
- Analyze system failures and malfunctions; propose and implement solutions or improvements.
- Document designs, user guides, and maintenance procedures for internal and stakeholder use.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—engineers, project managers, technicians—to ensure smooth design integration and deployment.
- Stay current with emerging robotics technologies and trends to drive continuous innovation.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Robotics Engineering; Master’s preferred for advanced roles.
- Experience: Typically 2- 10 years of industry experience in robotics or related engineering roles.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Deep knowledge of CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and robotics software platforms.
- Familiarity with simulation tools like MATLAB, Simulink, and ROS (Robot Operating System).
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C++, Python, or Java, especially in robot control and embedded systems.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in advanced mathematical concepts, problem-solving, systems thinking, and integration.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for team collaboration and documentation.
- Attention to Detail: Critical for precise calibration, documentation, and system safety.
