We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Engineer to join our manufacturing team. As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the production processes, ensuring the efficient use of resources, maintaining quality standards, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during production. Your role will involve optimizing production workflows, implementing improvements, and ensuring safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning: Plan, schedule, and oversee production operations to meet quality standards and deadlines.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for process improvement to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve any technical issues or production bottlenecks, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Quality Control: Ensure that products are manufactured to meet both internal and external quality standards. Develop and implement quality control procedures to maintain high production standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the proper maintenance of production equipment, ensuring that machines are functioning optimally and preventing unplanned downtime.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., maintenance, R&D, quality assurance) to implement improvements and resolve production issues.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all production activities are carried out in accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished products to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and suggest improvements. Prepare reports on production performance, efficiency, and quality.
- Cost Management: Control and reduce production costs by improving resource utilization and minimizing waste.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (typically 2-4 years) in a production or manufacturing engineering role.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production machinery, and industrial engineering principles.
- Proficiency in using engineering software (e.g., CAD, CAM, or ERP systems).
- Knowledge of quality control, process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate across various departments.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
