As a Product Owner in Marketing Operation you will be defining and driving the strategy and roadmap for marketing automation, aligned with business objectives and personalization strategy and also develop and maintain a deep understanding of marketing automation principles, best practices, and industry trends.
In your new role you will:
Product Vision and Strategy
- Define and drive the strategy and roadmap for marketing automation, aligned with business objectives and personalization strategy.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of marketing automation principles, best practices, and industry trends.
Requirement Definition & Prioritization
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer and business needs, and define and prioritize requirements for marketing automation including:
- Personalized and automated marketing processes and activities across channels,
- Lead management,
- User data management.
- Assume Data Stewardship responsibilities for Marketing Automation, ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance.
- Identify opportunities to leverage marketing automation to drive business results.
Product Backlog Management and Value Realization
- Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog for marketing automation, ensuring it is up-to-date, refined, and ready for development.
- Prioritize the backlog based on expected business value.
- Collaborate with IT and external vendors to enable prioritized requirements.
Stakeholder Enablement
- Enable and update stakeholders by developing and maintaining documentation, processes, and guidelines for marketing automation.
- Managing the marketing automation platform and supporting key users in terms of setup, configuration, data flows, quality assurance and optimization of workflows and campaigns.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops to ensure stakeholder alignment and understanding of business needs.
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- 5+ years of experience in marketing automation, preferably in a product owner or similar role.
- Strong understanding of marketing automation principles and best practices, including experience with marketing automation technologies (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Eloqua).
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the marketing automation strategy.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including marketing and IT.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and principles, such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- University degree in Marketing, Business, Information Technologies, or a related field.
