As People Manager at GeekyAnts, you will build, scale, and own the end-to-end people function for our 300+ delivery team consisting of software engineers, software testers, business analysts, devops teams. You ll ensure performance management, career frameworks, talent planning, engagement, learning, analytics, and stakeholder partnerships are executed with rigor, transparency, and empathy.
Key Responsibilities
- Performance Management & Career Frameworks
- Define and maintain role-based competency matrix with clear proficiency statements
- Conduct quarterly 360 performance reviews: launch self-assessments, collect manager & peer feedback, validate integrity, facilitate calibration, finalize ratings, and communicate outcomes
- Manage semi annual promotion cycle: announce criteria, collect nominations, convene panel, communicate decisions, and update career ladder
- Talent Planning & Retention
- Track workforce capacity, forecast staffing needs, and flag upcoming gaps weekly
- Analyze monthly attrition & engagement trends; conduct exit & stay interviews
- Develop and execute targeted retention strategies
- Coordinate bench redeployment by matching idle engineers to open roles or training
- Employee Engagement & Culture
- Plan and host monthly team-building activities (lunches, offsites, recognition events)
- Administer bi monthly pulse surveys, synthesize feedback, and drive action plans
- Learning & Development Enablement
- Plan & facilitate monthly technical and behavioral workshops
- Assign and track course enrollments; monitor completion and certification
- Audit training materials quarterly; identify content gaps and coordinate updates with SMEs
- Monitor new hire onboarding training progress; highlight challenges and recommend improvements
- People Analytics & Reporting
- Build and maintain dashboards tracking eNPS, attrition, performance distribution, and bench utilization
- Present monthly people insights and recommendations to leadership
- Monitor daily status reporting: identify inconsistencies, aggregate trends, and conduct monthly health checks with Tech Leads
- Stakeholder Partnership & Communication
- Serve as first point of contact for people-related escalations; triage, resolve with Tech Leads, and escalate as needed
- Facilitate weekly cross-functional syncs (People Ops Delivery HRBP Finance)
- Communicate policy updates, process changes, and key metrics to the engineering organization
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 8+ years in People Operations or HRBP, with 5+ years focused on engineering or tech services
- Proven track record scaling People Ops for 100+ headcount organizations
- Strong expertise in performance management, competency frameworks, and talent planning
- Excellent data analytics skills (Excel, BI tools)
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
