Operations Manager (Supply Chain / Logistics)

Reporting to: Senior Management / General Manager – Operations

Role summary:

Oversee operations of supply chain, warehouse/handling equipment division for Fonty, ensuring efficient logistics, material handling, and service delivery in the region.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end operations: receiving, handling, storage, dispatch of equipment/spare parts/material-handling equipment (MHE).

• Develop and monitor KPIs (productivity, turnaround time, cost control) for site operations.

• Coordinate with service & maintenance team for equipment operations, spares planning and uptime.

• Manage inventory, channel partners, vendor/supplier coordination and logistics carriers.

• Ensure adherence to safety & quality standards in warehousing and handling of heavy equipment.

• Prepare reports, budgets, variance analyses, support strategic operations planning.

Required qualifications & skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Logistics / Supply Chain or equivalent.

• 7-11 years of relevant experience in industrial supply chain / logistics / equipment operations.

• Strong knowledge of material-handling equipment (forklifts, stackers) or warehousing operations advantageous.

• Excellent communication, leadership and process-orientation skills.

• Proven track-record in cost management, team leadership and operations improvement.

Preferred:

• Experience in MHE industry or heavy-equipment servicing segment.

• Exposure to warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP for logistics.

• Familiarity with industrial safety norms and lean operations.
