Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Insights:
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that can inform business decisions.
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand their goals and identify data-driven opportunities for improvement.
- Design and implement statistical analyses to extract actionable insights from complex data.
- Modeling & Machine Learning:
- Develop, test, and deploy predictive models using machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling techniques.
- Apply advanced algorithms and techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, and time-series forecasting to solve business problems.
- Ensure model accuracy, robustness, and scalability by optimizing algorithms and fine-tuning hyperparameters.
- Data Processing & Transformation:
- Prepare, clean, and preprocess data to ensure it is suitable for modeling and analysis.
- Work with large, unstructured datasets and utilize tools such as SQL, Python, or R to manipulate and analyze the data.
- Use data visualization tools to communicate complex findings in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business needs into data science and modeling solutions.
- Present findings, insights, and recommendations to senior management and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists and analysts on best practices in modeling and analysis.
- Optimization & Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously monitor the performance of deployed models, ensuring they remain accurate and effective over time.
- Evaluate model performance and recommend improvements for optimization.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of technological innovation.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare clear and concise reports and documentation outlining modeling methodologies, results, and recommendations.
- Maintain detailed documentation of modeling processes, data sources, and code for reproducibility and transparency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar.
- Strong experience with machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras).
- Expertise in data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, pandas, NumPy).
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib.
- Understanding of statistical analysis methods and techniques (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression analysis).
- Experience:
- Proven experience (3+ years) in data science, machine learning, or statistical modeling in a business or research environment.
- Hands-on experience in building and deploying predictive models.
- Experience working with large datasets and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
