Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze clinical, operational, and financial data to identify trends, outcomes, and improvement opportunities.
- Work with electronic health record (EHR) systems to extract and clean medical data.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Support research studies with data collection, statistical analysis, and publication-quality outputs.
- Ensure data privacy and compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with clinicians and administrators to define metrics and interpret data findings.
- Conduct predictive modeling and risk analysis to aid in clinical decision-making.
- Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and security.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Health Informatics, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Health, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in SQL and statistical tools such as R, SAS, SPSS, or Python.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards and coding systems (ICD, CPT, HL7).
- Strong understanding of HIPAA and other data privacy laws.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Familiarity with clinical trials or population health analytics.
- Certification in health data analytics or informatics (e.g., CHDA, CAHIMS).
