Your Career Journey: From Trainee to Regional Leader

Phase 1: Months 1–6 | Market Readiness & Business Development


  • Master end-to-end client acquisition: market research, prospecting, cold-calling, developing a solution, presenting it to a prospective client and deal closure.
  • Shadow cross-functional teams (Ops, Recruitment, Compliance) to understand the workflows and the finer nuances.
  • Close deals supported by the senior managers and present insights to CIEL’s leadership.

Phase 2: Months 7–24 | Own a portfolio of Clients and Growing them


  • Own your portfolio: Convert prospects into paying clients with mentorship from senior managers.
  • Collaborate with recruitment and ops teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Meet targets to fast-track promotions (top performers move to leadership early).

Phase 3: Years 3-5 | Staffing / Business Development Manager


  • Lead end-to-end client engagements and operations i.e. recruitment and HR operations.
  • Drive revenue growth by expanding existing accounts and winning new business.
  • Collaborate with central functions effectively to ensure seamless delivery of services to the clients and generate new opportunities.
  • Make continuous improvements in business processes working in collaboration with peers and senior managers in the organisation.
  • Optimize processes with cross-functional teams.

Phase 4: Year 5+ | Regional Business Head (RBH)


  • Lead a regional team comprising a few Managers and their respective teams to run it as a growing P&L, expand CIEL’s market presence by winning new business, growing wallet share of existing customers, innovate methods to achieve growth and enhance productivity and strengthen CIEL’s position in the market.

5-Week Immersion at the start: Learn by Doing

Week 1: Business & Culture – Meet CIEL’s leadership; understand HR industry trends.

Week 2: HR Operations – Dive into payroll, onboarding, and compliance.

Week 3: Recruitment – Train on hiring process; close live mandates.

Week 4: Market Research – Build prospect lists; craft CXO-ready pitches.

Week 5: Sales Readiness – Develop your cold-calling playbook; start client outreach.
