We are seeking a skilled Jira Application Administrator to oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of our Jira instances, ensuring they align with our organizations workflows and project management needs. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, troubleshoot issues, and enhance the overall user experience within the Atlassian ecosystem.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- System Configuration & Maintenance: Administer and maintain Jira instances, ensuring continuous uptime and performance.
- Customization: Customize Jira workflows, permissions, and screens to fit business needs.
- User Management: Manage user access, permissions, and security settings in Atlassian tools, while monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing necessary solutions.
- Integration: Develop and maintain integrations between Jira, Confluence, and other tools.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop scripts and automation using Jira Automation and ScriptRunner to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.
- Training & Support: Provide guidance, training, and technical support to users and teams to improve Jira adoption, efficiency, and alignment with best practices.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance, perform health checks, and proactively resolve potential issues.
- Upgrades & Maintenance: Plan and execute system upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime.

- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in configuring and administering Jira, Confluence, and other Atlassian products.
- Scripting & Automation: Experience with Jira Automation and ScriptRunner for workflow automation.
- Integration Knowledge: Familiarity with integrating Jira with other tools and systems within the organization.
- User Management: Experience in managing user access, permissions, and security settings.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve Jira-related issues efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
🌱 Preferred Skills
- Certifications: Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience administering Atlassian tools or a similar role involving system administration and configuration.
- Advanced Scripting: Experience with advanced scripting and automation tools.
