Handle goods arriving at and departing from trucks, trailers, containers, railcars, or shipments using both manual labor and material‑handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, hand trucks, cranes, or conveyors.
Secure outbound loads to prevent shifting during transit using straps, braces, or blocks.
Inspection & Accuracy
Inspect goods before and after loading/unloading for any damage or discrepancies. Report any issues or missing items promptly.
Match shipments to purchase orders or work orders and verify item count, SKUs, batch numbers.
Material Handling & Inventory
Transport, sort, and stage items into designated storage or staging areas.
Assist in inventory tracking by accurately updating inventory, shipment, and receiving records.
Warehouse Maintenance & Safety
Maintain clean, well‑organized loading/unloading areas—sweep, remove debris, store tools properly.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE (e.g., gloves, steel‑toe footwear, visibility vests).
Teamwork & Communication
Work closely with warehouse coordinators, drivers, and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and correct scheduling.
Support other warehouse functions (e.g. picking, packing, restocking) as needed.
