Job Description
Supervising a team of assembly line workers, ensuring productivity and quality standards were consistently met.
Develop and implement training programs for new hires to enhance skill level and assembly procedures.
Monitoring production schedules and adjusting worker levels as necessary to meet demand while minimizing overtime costs.
Facilitate team meetings to communicate production goals, address concerns, and solicit feedback from team members.
Collaborate with the quality control department to identify and address any issues affecting product quality.
Initiating continuous improvement projects to streamline processes, reduce cycle times, and optimize resource utilization.
Maintaining inventory levels and ordered materials as needed to prevent production delays.
EDUCATION & TRAINING Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 3 to 4 years of Experience in sub assembly operationsKNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Understanding of assembly line operations, including sequential steps, machinery operation, and workflow optimization.
Knowledge of quality control procedures and standards to ensure products meet specifications and customer requirements.
Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts such as 5S, Kaizen, and waste reduction techniques to improve efficiency and productivity.
Strong leadership and management skills to supervise assembly line workers, delegate tasks, and motivate team members to meet production targets.
Familiarity with workplace safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Effective communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams, convey instructions to workers, and address any issues or concerns.
Basic understanding of data analysis techniques to interpret production metrics, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions for process optimization.
Proficient in production scheduling and inventory management
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
