Job Description

The Data Entry Operator (DEO) is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining various operational and administrative records in digital formats. The DEO ensures timely data processing to support payroll, attendance, billing, compliance, and client reporting functions within the G4S ecosystem.



Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Entry & Record Maintenance:


  • Input data related to manpower deployment, duty rosters, attendance, site logs, and incident reports into relevant systems (ERP/MIS).
  • Update and maintain internal and client-specific databases.
  • Enter PF, ESI, and statutory compliance details as per format requirements.


2. Documentation & Reporting:


  • Maintain digital and physical files of duty registers, leave applications, visitor records, and billing data.
  • Generate daily/weekly/monthly operational reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Support in preparing MIS reports such as manpower strength, absenteeism, and attrition.


3. Payroll & Billing Support:


  • Assist the HR/payroll team by providing verified attendance and duty hours for salary calculation.
  • Compile monthly deployment data for generating invoices and bills for clients.
  • Flag data discrepancies or missing entries to site/ops teams for resolution.


4. Coordination:


  • Coordinate with branch operations team, site officers, and HR for timely data flow.
  • Liaise with client-side representatives (if deployed at client premises) for data verification or clarifications.
  • Support audit and compliance teams by retrieving required data and documents.


5. Quality Control & Confidentiality:


  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data entry work.
  • Maintain data confidentiality and adhere to G4S information security protocols.



Eligibility Criteria:

  • Education: Minimum 12th Pass; Diploma or Graduate in Computer Applications/Commerce preferred.
  • Experience:

  • 1 3 years of experience in data entry, MIS, or back-office operations.
  • Freshers with good computer skills may also be considered.
  • Typing Speed: Minimum 30 40 words per minute with accuracy.
  • Age: 20 to 40 years.



Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and typing in English.
  • Knowledge of Excel functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is an added advantage.
  • Basic understanding of payroll, attendance, and billing systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.



Working Conditions:

  • Office or site-based role (depending on posting).
  • Fixed or rotational shifts; 6-day work week.
  • Uniform not required unless deployed at a client-controlled area.
  • Eligible for ESI, PF, Gratuity, Bonus, and Leave benefits as per company policy.

  • As per local labor market and internal G4S salary bands for DEO/Admin roles.
  • Entry-level salaries aligned with Minimum Wages (Clerical/Skilled) category of the respective state/UT.
  • Annual performance-based increments and possible incentives.
