Role Overview
The Customer Relationship Officer acts as the primary liaison between the company and its customers, fostering strong, long-term relationships, proactively resolving issues, and enhancing overall customer satisfaction. This role plays a vital part in retention, upselling, and strengthening the companys reputation across touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers—responding timely to inquiries and resolving complaints effectively.
- Build and nurture positive relationships with customers by understanding their needs and preferences.
- Promote cross-sell and upsell opportunities to drive revenue growth and customer retention.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. sales, marketing, product, support) to align and optimize the customer journey.
- Analyze customer interactions and feedback, then recommend process improvements or strategic enhancements.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and performance metrics using CRM systems.
- Prepare performance reports and contribute to customer satisfaction insights and strategy.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Experience: Typically 1–5 years in customer-facing or relationship management roles; banking or financial sector experience is advantageous.
- Essential Skills:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, empathy, and professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving, organization, and multitasking ability.
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office tools.
- Sales orientation with ability to identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities and meet performance targets.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional Enhancements)
- Experience in high-growth or fast-paced environments, or with SaaS/technology-based customer deployments.
- Certifications in CRM, customer experience, or service quality strategies.
- Proficiency in advanced analytics tools or AI-driven customer engagement platforms.
