Job Summary:

The CNC Machine Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines and related equipment to ensure continuous and efficient production. The role involves preventive and breakdown maintenance, diagnostics, and implementation of maintenance best practices for optimal machine performance and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on CNC machines (VMC, HMC, turning centers, etc.).
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in CNC machines.
• Calibrate and align machine components to maintain accuracy and quality.
• Maintain documentation of machine maintenance activities, breakdowns, and repair logs.
• Assist in installation, commissioning, and relocation of CNC machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Collaborate with machine operators and production teams to resolve recurring issues.
• Coordinate with OEMs or vendors for major repairs or technical support when needed.
• Monitor machine health using tools and software (if applicable).
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Recommend upgrades or improvements to enhance machine reliability and efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering or relevant field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in CNC machine maintenance (depending on role level).
• Strong knowledge of CNC machine components, control systems (Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.).
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Basic understanding of PLCs, servo motors, drives, and encoders.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, or respond to emergency breakdowns.
