We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Chemicals Sales Specialist to join our sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales of chemical products, developing relationships with new and existing customers, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the chemical industry, excellent communication skills, and a passion for sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Generation: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in the chemical industry, targeting businesses and industries that require chemical products.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term business partnerships.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on the company’s chemical products and services. Provide expert knowledge to clients, helping them select the right products for their needs.
- Sales Presentations: Conduct sales presentations, product demonstrations, and negotiations with clients to promote chemical products and secure contracts.
- Market Research: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth and potential threats.
- Order Management: Handle customer orders, ensuring accurate pricing, timely delivery, and resolution of any issues that arise during the sales process.
- Sales Targets & Reporting: Achieve sales targets and quotas as established by management. Maintain regular sales reports, documenting progress, challenges, and customer interactions.
- Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, providing excellent service and ensuring all customer expectations are met.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including marketing, logistics, and customer support, to ensure smooth delivery of products and services.
- Compliance: Ensure all sales activities comply with industry regulations and company policies, including environmental and safety standards related to chemical products.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: Proven experience in sales, preferably in the chemical or related industry, with at least [2-3] years in a sales role.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the chemical market, including product applications, manufacturing processes, and industry regulations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to both technical and non-technical clients.
- Sales Skills: Strong sales acumen with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas.
- Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate effectively with customers and close deals that are beneficial to both the company and the client.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
