Role & responsibilities
- Requirement management:
- Work closely with the product lead to identify and document requirements for Digital payments
- User-journey, inputs to test scenarios and other documentation related to requirements
- Inputs for solution creation
- Create Process flows, interface specifications and gap documentation
- Product Implementation Support:
- Collaborate with engineering teams to explain requirements, review UI/UX and provide immediate feedback
- Lead client discussions with respect to product functionality, gaps and training during implementation
- Quality Assurance:
- Review test scenarios to ensure functional completeness and alignment to end-client requirements
- Support testing team with functional queries and issues
- Market Research & Innovation:
- Stay updated on payment technology trends, instant payment developments, and regulatory changes.
- Use of AI in digital banking
Must-Have:
- Payments & Cash Management Expertise:
- Clear understanding of how payments work end-end from customer initiation to clearing & settlement. Understanding of domestic bulk payments, instant payments, and cross-border payment is required.
- Proven experience in working as a business analyst for either a globally reputed payments/digital solution or an in-house payment/digital application at a Tier 1/Tier 2 bank
- Thorough knowledge of ISO 20022 standards (Payments and Cash Management related messages)
- Knowledge of US Payment rails is an added advantage.
- Understanding of Cash position, Balance & Transaction reporting needs of Large corporate and commercial clients
- Ability to confidently engage and discuss requirements and solutions with customers.
- Understand the payment initiation and processing needs for commercial and corporate clients at banks.
- Ability to map them to the available product while demonstrating thought leadership.
- Requirement gathering and documentation:
- Analyze requirements, confidently handle objections and detailed documentation of requirements required.
- Must be able to question requirements from the Bank when it is not a deemed market practice and objectively assess fitment for product
- Internal stakeholder communication:
- Ability to explain requirements clearly to engineering team
- Contribute in test scenario preparation and internal testing
- Provide regular status updates to team leads
- Must be a team player
- Individual Contributor: Hands-on approach with the ability to work independently, collaborate with teams, and drive solutions without relying solely on team leadership.
Good-to-Have:
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with key payment industry regulations by country/region for Cross-border payments, US Payment rails.
- Pre-Sales & Collateral Development: Experience in supporting sales teams with product positioning, RFP responses and solution demos.
