• As an Assurance Assistant or Tax Assistant, your role involves providing support to assurance (audit) or tax professionals in accounting firms or corporate finance departments
Here are the key responsibilities and skills associated with each position:
• Assurance Assistant Responsibilities: Audit Support: Assist with the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements for clients
• This includes gathering and analyzing financial data, performing testing procedures, and documenting audit findings
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and review client financial statements to identify potential issues, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement
• Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and auditing procedures
• Internal Controls Evaluation: Evaluate and test internal control systems to identify weaknesses, assess risk, and provide recommendations for improvement
• Report Preparation: Assist in the preparation of audit reports, including summarizing findings, highlighting issues, and providing recommendations to clients
• Client Communication: Interact with clients to gather information, address inquiries, and provide updates on the progress of audit engagements
