1. Develop test plans based on the requirements for each functional module
2. Create test cases to handle different functional scenarios based on the design documents
3. Work with the Project Manager to estimate testing effort and schedule
4. Perform quality and functional reviews during the Design and Development phases
5. Provide regular status reports to the Project Manager
6. Design and develop automation scripts using any standard Testing tools primarily Oracle OUTA or other Client requested tools like - Rational Robot or Rational Functional Test, HP Winrunner/Load Runner/QTP etc.
7. Work as part of the Testing team ensure Project Success - Tasks could include Design handover to QA, Ensure Requirements and Design Coverage in Test Plan through reviews and feedback, Co-ordinate defect tracking and closure with development and release teams etc.4
