Assistant Manager -Transfer Pricing
Description
A new position has become available within Rolls-Royce in India for a Tax Assistant Manager to join the existing tax team as a Transfer Pricing (TP) expert to lead the TP work under the India Tax COE and also support direct tax compliance in India.
Key accountabilities of the position include:
- Expertise in Transfer Pricing matters with in-dept experience in supporting preparation of TP documentation for group entities
- Working closely with tax advisors to ensure timely preparation of TP documentation for group entities
- Having ability to deliberate and support in framing and reviewing TP strategies and finalization with group tax teams and advisors
- Preparation of tax information for Group Headquarters for inclusion in budgets, forecasts and for reporting purposes.
-Assistance in preparation of the year-end tax provisions for local statutory accounts.
- Liaison with group accountants and external auditors to ensure that provisions are properly reflected in statutory accounts.
- Computation of advance tax and tax provisions
- Preparation for data during TP and other tax assessments
Assistance and support in closure of tax audits
Maintaining strong record keeping support for tax filings
Ensure appropriate Tax risk Management processes are in place for India including frameworks for reporting taxes and duties that are able to produce an accurate and complete tax result consistently and that procedures exist to ensure the quality of the information submitted to tax authorities.
Provision of tax advice and support to the business sectors as required.
Ensuring RR Group Tax policies are adhered to locally
Improving and optimizing controls and processes
Highlighting key tax risks and ensuring proper documentation
Co-ordinating between various domestic and overseas entities within Rolls Royce
Qualifications
Degree holder in Accounting (Chartered Accountant or equivalent ) or related business discipline and qualified accountant of recognized professional bodies
At least 3-4 years experience gained from the sizable accounting firms( Big 4 preferred) or MNCs (tax function preferred). Past experience of working in a shared services centre (GCC) will be an advantage
Strong technical knowledge of Transfer Pricing and Direct Tax is a must for this role.
Strong computer literacy. This includes the ability to rapidly become familiar with new products and applications that enable the role to be performed more effectively.
