We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Area Business Manager – Acute Segment to lead and manage sales operations within the acute care or hospital segment across a defined territory. This individual will be responsible for achieving sales targets, driving market share growth, and building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, key hospital stakeholders, and distribution partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve or exceed assigned sales targets in the acute care segment.
- Promote and position acute care therapies or products (e.g., critical care, anti-infectives, injectables, emergency medicine) to healthcare professionals in hospitals and acute care settings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), physicians, pharmacists, procurement teams, and institutional stakeholders.
- Ensure effective implementation of marketing strategies and promotional campaigns at the field level.
- Conduct regular territory analysis and provide insights into competitor activities, market trends, and customer feedback.
- Coordinate with internal cross-functional teams including medical affairs, marketing, and supply chain to ensure smooth territory operations.
- Maintain accurate customer data, call records, and sales reports using CRM tools.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned geography.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of proven sales experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with at least 2 years in acute care/hospital segment.
- Strong knowledge of hospital procurement processes and institutional sales dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets consistently.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA in Marketing or Healthcare Management.
- Prior experience managing critical care or acute care products.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
