Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and result-driven Admission Counsellor to guide students through the admission process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for counseling prospective students, explaining program details, and ensuring successful enrollment.

As an Admission Counsellor, you will serve as the primary point of contact for students and parents, helping them make informed decisions about their educational journey. This role requires excellent communication, persuasion, and interpersonal skills to convert leads into successful admissions.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Student Counseling & Guidance:

  • Engage with prospective students through calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
  • Provide detailed information about courses, programs, eligibility criteria, admission procedures, and career prospects.
  • Understand student needs and recommend suitable programs accordingly.
  • Assist students in completing applications, documentation, and enrollment formalities.

2. Lead Conversion & Admission Process:

  • Follow up with leads through timely communication and engagement strategies.
  • Maintain and update student databases, CRM tools, and admission records.
  • Ensure that students submit all required documents for a smooth admission process.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, finance, and academics) to facilitate admissions.

3. Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and educational partners.
  • Address queries related to fees, scholarships, financial aid, and program benefits.
  • Conduct webinars, open house sessions, and career counseling workshops.

4. Reporting & Performance Tracking:

  • Maintain and analyze data on admission trends, conversion rates, and student feedback.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports to track performance and suggest improvements.
  • Work closely with marketing teams to optimize lead generation and conversion strategies.

5. Compliance & Institutional Support:

  • Ensure adherence to admission policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development of admission strategies and process improvements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor programs, and market demands.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Must-Have Skills:

  • Excellent communication, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to understand student needs and provide appropriate guidance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet admission targets.
  • A proactive and customer-oriented approach to student counseling.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Experience in higher education, edtech, study abroad, or admissions consulting.
  • Knowledge of visa processing, international education systems, or university partnerships (if applicable).
  • Familiarity with digital marketing, social media engagement, and lead nurturing.

Eligibility & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Education, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 1-4 years of experience in admissions, student counseling, or sales.
  • Fresh graduates with strong communication skills and a passion for education are welcome to apply.
