Job Title: Junior Accountant / Accounts Assistant
Salary: ₹20,000 - ₹25,000 per month (depending on experience)
Experience: 6 months to 1 year
Employment Type: Full-time



Job Summary:
We are looking for a Junior Accountant who will be responsible for performing routine accounting tasks, assisting with financial reporting, and ensuring smooth financial operations. This role is ideal for a BCom graduate with a foundational understanding of accounting principles and a desire to learn and grow within the finance department.

Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and update the general ledger by posting journal entries for expenses, sales, and other financial transactions.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process and verify invoices, ensure timely payments, and manage accounts receivable for incoming payments.
Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile company bank statements with the general ledger and ensure all transactions are accounted for accurately.
Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements.
Tax Compliance: Assist in preparation and filing of GST returns, TDS returns, and other tax-related documents. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Month-End & Year-End Closing: Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of necessary documentation and reports.
Inventory and Fixed Assets Management: Support in maintaining inventory records and fixed asset management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Expense Monitoring: Monitor and control company expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary limits.
Audit Preparation: Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and support internal and external audits.
Data Management: Ensure all financial data is accurate, organized, and properly archived for easy access.
Ad-Hoc Tasks: Support the finance team with ad-hoc assignments, reports, and tasks as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (BCom) or a related field.
Experience: 6 months to 1 year of prior experience in accounting or finance is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Zoho Books, etc.).
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formulas).
Familiarity with basic tax laws (GST, TDS) and financial regulations.
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic understanding of Indian tax regulations (GST, TDS, etc.).
Experience with managing payroll, invoicing, and vendor payments.
Prior experience with bank reconciliations and financial audits.
