Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive WordPress websites and themes
• Customize existing themes and plugins to meet client and project needs
• Build custom plugins or extend existing ones as needed
• Implement SEO best practices, performance optimization, and accessibility standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, and server-side errors
• Collaborate with designers, content creators, and other developers to ensure a seamless user experience
• Maintain website security, backups, and regular updates
• Stay current with WordPress updates, trends, and best practices

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio
• Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL
• Experience with custom theme and plugin development
• Familiarity with popular page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg)
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility, responsive design, and mobile-first development
• Experience working with version control systems like Git
• Basic understanding of SEO and website performance optimization
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have:

• Experience with WooCommerce, ACF (Advanced Custom Fields), or custom post types
• Familiarity with REST API integrations
• Knowledge of hosting environments and tools like cPanel, FTP, and staging servers
• Understanding of security best practices and WordPress hardening
• Familiarity with task runners/build tools (e.g., Gulp, Webpack)
