Job Description

As a Senior Travel Consultant, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating travel arrangements for clients, providing expert advice, and ensuring exceptional customer service. You will leverage your industry knowledge and experience to design tailored travel experiences, handle complex itineraries, and build strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, book, and manage domestic and international travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, transportation, and tours.
  • Provide expert advice on travel destinations, visa requirements, travel insurance, and itinerary planning.
  • Handle complex itineraries for corporate and leisure clients, ensuring seamless travel experiences.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their preferences and travel needs.
  • Negotiate with airlines, hotels, and travel service providers to secure the best rates and deals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, airline policies, and travel restrictions to provide accurate guidance.
  • Manage customer inquiries, complaints, and last-minute changes with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Use travel booking software (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) to process reservations and issue tickets.
  • Ensure compliance with travel policies and company guidelines.
  • Train and mentor junior travel consultants as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum [X] years of experience as a Travel Consultant or in a similar role.
  • Education: Degree/Diploma in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in GDS (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) and online booking platforms.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of international travel regulations, visa requirements, and airline policies.
  • Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to handle travel disruptions, cancellations, and emergency situations effectively.
  • Organization: Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work extended hours or weekends when required.
