As a Trainee Test Engineer, you will be trained and mentored to develop the skills necessary for testing software and hardware products. Under the guidance of senior test engineers, you will assist in executing test cases, reporting defects, and ensuring the quality and functionality of products before they are released. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation and execution of test plans and test cases for software or hardware products.
- Perform manual and automated tests to identify bugs and defects.
- Document test results and report any issues to the development team.
- Work closely with senior test engineers to understand test procedures, tools, and best practices.
- Support the execution of functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
- Help to ensure that products meet user requirements and technical specifications.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of automated testing scripts (if applicable).
- Participate in meetings to discuss project progress, test results, and improvements.
- Learn and use testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestRail) to report and track issues.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other team members to ensure timely and effective resolution of defects.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and tools.
- Knowledge of Programming: Familiarity with programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, or SQL) is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills to document test results and communicate issues clearly.
