echnical Support Engineer AVEVA Plant SCADA (Citect)
Responsibilities
Provide technical support to AVEVA customers and partners for issues raised via phone, email & web support channels
Troubleshoot, analyse, and diagnose product issues
Provide regular updates to customers and partners on support requests and queries, ensuring service request updates and resolution timeframes are in line with service level agreements
Keep accurate records of support activities in the AVEVA case management systems including documenting all solutions, bug fixes and workarounds
Work with senior members of the support team and product development teams when product issues are identified
Develop knowledge articles (i.e., tech notes, tech alerts) for the AVEVA Plant SCADA product
Qualifications
Tertiary qualificiation in Industrial Automation, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related disciplines
Skills
Excellent communication skills
Basic to intermediate knowledge of Scripting/programming language (e.g., VB.Net, C#.Net)
Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server or similar database technologies
Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office applications
Troubleshooting skills
Experience
6 months 3 years experience designing, developing, implementing and/or supporting industrial automation software solutions based on AVEVA Plant SCADA and/or similar products, or working in a similar or related technical role
Experience with complex software configurations, networking, TCP/IP communications, database connectivity, SQL, Windows Client/Server architectures
Experience with industrial communications networks and protocols (e.g., OPC UA/DA/AE/HDA, Modbus, DNP3 etc.,.)
Other Requirements
Ability and willingness to work some evenings and public holidays
Occasional travel related to training, customer events (
