We are seeking an experienced and driven Regional Sales Manager (RSM) – Acute Division to lead and manage sales operations within the acute care segment across a defined region. The RSM will be responsible for achieving regional sales targets, developing territory managers, building strategic relationships with hospital stakeholders, and driving overall business growth in the acute care division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of Area Business Managers (ABMs) and Territory Executives (TEs) across the assigned region.
- Achieve and exceed sales and market share targets for acute care products (e.g., critical care, anti-infectives, injectables, ICU therapies).
- Develop and implement strategic regional sales plans aligned with national goals and marketing initiatives.
- Establish strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), hospital administrators, procurement heads, and decision-makers in government and private institutions.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competition, and regional performance metrics to identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure team compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, medical affairs, supply chain, and finance for smooth execution of regional plans.
- Conduct regular field visits to support the team and strengthen customer engagement.
- Drive training, motivation, and performance management for all direct reports.
- Provide accurate and timely reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market intelligence.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or Business Administration.
- 8–12 years of total experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare sales with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role handling acute care/hospital segment.
- Strong understanding of hospital sales dynamics, tendering, and institutional business.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and leading high-performing teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in sales analytics and CRM tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA in Marketing, Sales, or Healthcare Management.
- Prior experience in managing regional sales for critical care, ICU products, or acute therapies.
- Exposure to both private and government hospital networks.
