Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Hosur / Chennai – Padi

Experience: 1–4 Years

Role Overview

The role ensures smooth production of die-cast components, process improvement, shift supervision, and quality adherence within the aluminum die-casting plant

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily production activities on the shop floor

• Ensure adherence to die-casting parameters & cycle times

• Coordinate with maintenance for machine downtime & troubleshooting

• Conduct root-cause analysis for defects (casting issues, porosity, shrinkage)

• Support new product trials & PPAP documentation

• Maintain shift reports, manpower allocation, material planning

• Implement Kaizen, 5S, TPM practices

Requirements

• Diploma / BE in Mechanical / Automobile / Mechatronics

• Knowledge of die-casting machines & production systems

• Good understanding of quality tools (7 QC tools, FMEA, SPC)

• Strong problem-solving & coordination skills
