GNM/Any 3 years Diploma from recognized university. 1. To be a part of the health team to give 24 hrs health care to all incumbents under the direct supervision of the school doctor.

2. Provide emergency care for students and staff incase of illness and accidents and escort them to a health care facility in the time of need.

3. Conduct the activities of student health services at the facility assigned and act as a resource person for that facility.

4. Provide nursing assessments and nursing diagnosis and administer medication/s and dressings for those needing health and nursing interventions.

5. To help in coordinating annual health checkups and conduct regular weight monitoring once in two months and height twice a year.

6. Develop necessary information with regard to individual health problem and disseminate this information to those individuals concerned department heads and keep the administration advised of these health concerns after seeking the in house school doctors approval.

7. Organize and assist with physical examination when conducted in the school.

8. Maintain the health records of all the students.

9. Utilize existing health resources to provide appropriate care to all associated with the school.

10. Assist in implementing school health management protocols for the child with chronic health problems including the administration of medications.

11. Assist in developing procedures and provide for crisis interventions for acute illness, injury and emotional disturbances in consultation with the school doctor.

12. Promote and assist in the control of communicable diseases, by early detection, surveillance and reporting.

13. Act as a resource person in promoting health care.

14. Responsible for maintaining and updating cumulative health records.

15. Maintain, evaluate and assist in interpreting cumulative health data to accommodate individual needs of students in consultation with the school doctor.

16. Provide health information to assist students and families in making health related decision.

17. Maintain security of school health supplies.

18. Conduct home visits when appropriate.

19. Correspond with parents on health needs of children after consulting the school doctor or appropriate authority.
