Position Overview:

The incumbent is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality of Packaging Material vendors, Incoming packaging materials and Packaging Operation processes within the company. This role involves collaborating with various departments, such as production, procurement, and logistics, to maintain high standards of packaging quality, compliance with regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement. The incumbent will also play a key role in troubleshooting quality issues and implementing corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control and Assurance:

- Approval of Packaging material suppliers

- Audit Suppliers and improve process

- Custodian of Packaging material Specification and Change material (Labels, Preforms)

- Ensure right packaging materials are received to ensure compliance with quality standards.

- Conduct regular inspections and audits of Company packaging operations to identify and resolve quality issues.

- Support trouble shooting for Blow Molding, Filling and Labelling operation.

- Develop and maintain quality control procedures and documentation.

Process Improvement:

- Analyze Current packaging processes across Factory to identify areas for improvement.

- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance packaging quality and efficiency.

- Collaborate with the production team to optimize packaging techniques and reduce waste.

Regulatory Compliance:

- Ensure packaging processes comply with industry regulations and standards.

- Stay updated on changes in packaging regulations and implement necessary adjustments.

Team Collaboration and Training:

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and logistics, to ensure seamless packaging operations.

- Train and mentor packaging staff on quality standards and best practices.

- Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement within the team.

Quality Issue Resolution:

- Investigate packaging-related quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

- Document and report quality issues and resolutions to senior management.

Supplier Management:

- Evaluate and select packaging material suppliers based on quality and reliability.

- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure consistent quality of supplied materials.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

- Collect and analyze data related to packaging quality and performance.

- Prepare regular reports on packaging quality metrics and present findings to senior management.

Project Management:

- Lead packaging quality projects and initiatives.

- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in engineering or Packaging Science or a related field.

- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, processes, and quality standards.

- Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance requirements.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in quality management tools and software.

- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) is a plus.
