The Last Mile Executive is responsible for overseeing and managing the final stage of the delivery process, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to customers. This role involves coordinating with delivery partners, optimizing routes, monitoring performance, and ensuring a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery Operations Management: Oversee last-mile delivery operations, ensuring on-time and accurate deliveries.
- Route Optimization: Coordinate with logistics teams to optimize delivery routes and minimize costs.
- Delivery Partner Coordination: Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and in-house delivery teams.
- Performance Monitoring: Track delivery performance metrics (on-time delivery, failed deliveries, customer satisfaction) and implement improvements.
- Issue Resolution: Address delivery exceptions, customer complaints, and escalate unresolved issues as needed.
- Technology & Systems Management: Use tracking and logistics software to monitor deliveries and update stakeholders in real-time.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all delivery personnel follow company policies, safety guidelines, and local regulations.
- Reporting & Analytics: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on delivery performance and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelors degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in last-mile logistics, delivery operations, or a similar role.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with logistics software, GPS tracking systems, and route optimization tools.
- Problem-Solving: Strong ability to resolve delivery challenges quickly and efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent coordination and communication skills to work with internal teams, delivery personnel, and customers.
- Time Management: Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in tracking deliveries, handling escalations, and maintaining records.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with e-commerce, FMCG, or logistics companies.
- Knowledge of last-mile delivery trends and technologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and logistics dashboards.
