Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for defining the best Gas Turbine upgrade solutions auxiliaries and control systems to fulfill customer technical needs during the ITO phase of a transaction on-time to the customer proposal need dates
- Own and manage project and technical coordination for conversions modifications & upgrades (CM&U) on in-service Gas Turbine Power Trains and their Mechanical/Electrical systems.
- Responsible to provide wing to wing technical support for proposals and projects from inquiry to remittance (ITR).
- Responsible for driving cost of quality reductions resulting from the fulfillment of CM&U opportunities
- Maintain an active role in developing and improving processes and analytical tools
- Effectively communicate project solutions to internal and external GE customers.
- Represent the organization in user conferences customer clarification meetings and other industry communications
- Possessa strong understanding of relevant markets and customer economic value that aid winning bid strategies.
- Resolve issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures
- Work collaboratively with partnering teams e. g. Sales Commercial Operations Product Line Engineering Sourcing Quality and Field Service and Project Management Office for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters to build winning solutions for our customers
- Incorporate GE Vernova Way principles of Innovation Customers Lean One team and accountable in how the work is done.
- Demonstrate accountability for functional and business objectives.
- Champion LEAN principles and embrace LEAN. Continuously challenge and improve internal processes in Heavy Duty Services ITR organization employee Lean principles like PSR process maturity models and Kaizens to improve the KPIs.
- Support the global initiatives starting from concept phase and provide guidance to develop implement monitor and enhance the KPIs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
- 6+ yearsu2019 experience in engineering or field experience on gas turbines
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed

- Experience in GE Gas Turbine frames B/E/F/H and/or GT fleet (legacy Alstom) frames
- Systems thinker - Able to understand adapt and anticipate the relationships of major equipment inside a combined cycle power plant.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with a wide variety of organizations and individuals in global locations.
