Job Title: Merchandiser Trainee (Fresher)

Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Merchandiser Trainee to join our team. This is an entry-level position ideal for recent graduates who are keen to start their career in merchandising. The role will involve extensive use of Excel for data management, analysis, and validation, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of large datasets. Strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration across departments.


Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the management and analysis of large datasets related to product inventory, sales, and market trends.
Perform data validation to ensure accuracy and consistency across all merchandising activities.
Support the Senior Merchandiser in preparing reports, presentations, and forecasts using Excel.
Collaborate with various departments such as purchasing, marketing, and sales to ensure smooth merchandising operations.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to share insights and updates on merchandising activities.
Help in the creation and maintenance of product lists, pricing strategies, and promotional plans.
Participate in market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
Contribute to the planning and execution of product displays and in-store layouts.
Ensure data integrity and assist in troubleshooting any discrepancies found during data validation.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and Data Validation.
Demonstrated ability to handle and analyze large datasets.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate ideas and insights clearly.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Skills:

Basic understanding of merchandising concepts and retail operations.
Experience with other data analysis tools or software is a plus.
