The DET Trainee is an entry-level position for diploma holders in engineering and technology. The trainee will undergo hands-on training in various departments, gaining practical experience in production, quality control, maintenance, and process improvement. This role aims to develop technical and problem-solving skills, ensuring a smooth transition into a full-time role within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Training & Learning
- Participate in structured training programs covering engineering concepts, machinery operations, and industry best practices.
- Learn to operate and maintain equipment under supervision.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in assigned departments.
- Production & Manufacturing Support
- Support production activities by monitoring machine operations and assisting senior technicians.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Maintain production logs and reports as required.
- Quality Assurance & Inspection
- Assist in quality checks and inspection of products as per company standards.
- Learn to use measuring instruments and quality control tools.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Learn to diagnose faults and perform minor repairs.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities.
- Process Improvement & Safety Compliance
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety and environmental regulations.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company guidelines.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of engineering concepts, machinery, and tools.
- Soft Skills: Problem-solving, teamwork, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
- Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of MS Office and CAD software (preferred).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a factory/plant environment and handle tools/equipment.
