The Clinical Process Coordinator is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of clinical services by coordinating, monitoring, and optimizing clinical workflows and processes. This role acts as a liaison between clinical staff, administrative teams, and other departments to ensure that patient care and clinical documentation meet regulatory, quality, and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee daily clinical workflow processes to ensure timely and efficient patient care delivery.
- Develop, implement, and maintain clinical process improvement initiatives in collaboration with clinical leadership.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., HIPAA, Joint Commission).
- Serve as a liaison between clinical teams and administrative staff to facilitate communication and resolve workflow issues.
- Assist in the onboarding and training of clinical staff on procedures, systems, and best practices.
- Collect and analyze data related to clinical performance and process outcomes; prepare reports for management.
- Identify and escalate operational issues or delays affecting patient care or documentation.
- Support electronic health record (EHR) utilization and optimization; troubleshoot workflow challenges related to documentation or scheduling.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and meetings as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
- RN or LPN license (if applicable) preferred.
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in a clinical setting or healthcare operations.
- Experience with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and clinical workflows.
- Background in process improvement or quality assurance preferred.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and clinical software.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily office-based with frequent interaction in clinical areas.
- May require occasional travel between sites or facilities.
- Possible exposure to healthcare environments and patient interactions.
